Google has introduced a new tool to speed up app downloads from the Play Store. Google has introduced a tool called Apple Bundles to combat the problem of consuming a lot of data and taking a lot of time while downloading the app.
Apple Bundle is actually a system that helps developers to create different versions of apps for different device configurations. After that, the Play Store helps to download the APK that suits the user's phone.
Google has also refined its service with 'App Install Optimization'. It uses data to improve the update and app launch process by studying which parts are used and which are not used when the app is initially opened.
For example, if you spend the first ten minutes downloading Instagram to set up a profile and find friends and most users do the same, the Play Store will initially download those parts of the app. So you don't have to wait for the app to download.
App optimizations are not currently available in the Play Store.
